caboodles

does anyone remember their caboodle? i had one that looks similar to this one but it was purple glitter awesomeness! these were huge when i was in elementary school every girl had one. i never wore makeup back then so mine held school supplies and my special little treasures i had to have with me. i treasured my caboodle and remember begging my mom to get me one because all the cool girls had one. i took mine everywhere until one day while i was in gym class it was stolen from my locker which we weren't allowed to have locks on! i was devastated and my mom never got me another one. i have recently been looking for a good hard-case for my makeup but have yet to find a good one. how awesome would it be if i could find a purple glitter caboodle like the one i had!

some one recently asked me what my favorite era of fashion was. i thought about it really hard, i have so many eras i would love to re-visit, early 1800s, victorian, 20's, and even the 1600s. when i really thought about it the early 50s would have to be my favorite! if i could dress like Dita von Teese everyday i would trust me! with the recent explosion in popularity of the show Mad Men I had hopes that maybe perhaps the 50s would make a comeback. last season at Louis Vuitton show I was almost convinced it had! while i cannot afford to buy these chic dresses from LV i can however buy online vintage sewing patterns and create my own 50s dress. i also sometimes dress like a tomboy from the 50s, cropped leather jacket, rolled up cuffed skinny jeans, sneakers, cat eyeliner, red lipstick, and a high ponytail.
so i'm asking if you have a favorite era in fashion please share it! i would love to hear other peoples favorites.

i LOVE t shirts so naturally i have hundreds of them! my husband and i also screen print our own t shirts and sell them online. for most of them he uses photos that he takes of his favorite things or i do the sketches for some. here i will post some raw photos of some of my favorites:
